The teacher
Patience, voice, the stage.
Classes are taught by a female Carnatic vocalist, in Tamil and English, from a Leicester home. The first class was 30 August 2026.
Lineage — guru, years, city — will be listed here when it is written down. Nothing is claimed ahead of fact. We are not affiliated with London Fine Arts Academy or ABRSM. The syllabus can prepare a student who later sits those grades.
The work is beginner-patient: aligning a young voice to shruti, keeping tala honest, and putting a child on a temple stage without shrinking.

Who walks in
Beginners, from five
Sarali on day one. No ‘musical family’ required. If they can copy a note, they can start.
The child who froze
They can sing at home and vanish on a stage. We put a classmate in the room so a hall is not the first audience.
Adults who meant to start
Same hour, same syllabus. No children’s class energy. You will be taken seriously.
A second sibling
Ten percent off the second child. Same afternoon, stacked slots, one pickup.
